With its minimalist décor and vintage charm, Classen Coffee has become a popular destination. But what makes this coffee shop truly stand out is the exceptional quality of their coffee, pastries, and customer service. How Classen Coffee Was Born

The idea for the coffee shop originally transpired in 2014 from an idea and comment made by Reverend Tobin Jackson who pastors at the Trinity International Baptist Church, which owns the building where the now coffee shop is located. Reverend Jackson mentioned to some staff members one day that it would be a good place for a coffee shop.

One of the church staff members, Kyle Duncan, ran with the idea because of his love for the building. However, he ended up needing some help with the funding; thus creating a partnership with the coffee shop’s second owner, Robin Palesano. Both of them were passionate about creating a place with a welcoming atmosphere that would connect people of all types.

After 3 years and lot of handwork and capitol invested, they were able to turn this dream into a reality in late Spring of 2017.

The Ambiance

Classen Coffee Co. is a cozy and welcoming environment with a rustic, vintage, and minimalist aesthetic. They have a fair-sized seating area where customers can enjoy their coffee or tea, along with the aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans to add to the overall ambiance.

The staff is welcoming and friendly, as well as knowledgeable about their coffee, making it a great place for coffee lovers to indulge in their passion. With plenty of seating and electric outlets, it’s the perfect atmosphere for working on your laptop, catching up with friends, or simply enjoying some quiet time.

They also have a drive-thru option for customers who prefer to grab their coffee on the go!

What’s on the Menu?

In this coffee shop, patrons can choose a personalized cup of coffee, ranging from a seasonal latte with a sweet taste, a strong pour over, or iced coffee drinks made any way you like.

Choose from one of the delicious syrups such as lavender, vanilla, or caramel to add a taste of sweetness and flavor. Customers also have the option to substitute conventional milk with almond or oat milk. 

Those who prefer something besides coffee can choose from other options such as a Chai latte, Matcha Latte, or loose leaf tea.

Meaning of the Flower in the Logo

The icon of the shop was selected for its aesthetic value and significance in coffee production, as the coffee flower represents the inception of the coffee bean.

When the flowers shed, they leave a small round nub, which gradually develops into a fruit containing one or two seeds and eventually becoming coffee beans after several months. The coffee beans are collected, roasted, and ground to create the coffee we all love.
