Remington Park in Oklahoma City
A Little History
On September 1, 1988, Remington Park opened its doors as the first international-level pari-mutuel racecourse in Oklahoma City. The late shopping developer Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. started the Remington Park construction. The track was first devolved as an Equitrack surface, which is a combination of sand grain and wax polymer. I was used to create a fast and safe all-weather racing surface.
However, it unfortunately did not work with the summer heat of Oklahoma, so the track was replaced with a more traditional natural ingredient racing surface. In 2005, Polytrack was employed as an improvement to the current track. In 2009, the rights to Remington Park was acquired by Global Gaming RP through a winning bid. Commencing operations on January 1, 2010, the facility is now known to house a casino and restaurants, as well as the race track.
Enjoy the Slots, Food, & Drinks
Considered one of the top racetracks in America, you’ll find Remington Park in Oklahoma City’s Adventure District. From August to December, Thoroughbred racing is on display here. Initially a daytime racing spot, Remington Park now offers its guests a casino with 750 slot and gaming machines. You’ll also find featured here, Bricktown Brewery, overlooking the whole racecourse, as well as Old No. 7 Bar & Stage.
On the first floor lies Henry Hudson’s Public House, a spot where people can enjoy scrumptious food and refreshments while keeping an eye on the races, only a few steps away from the exterior area. During racing seasons, The Silks restaurant Club One box sections deliver complete wait service and menu at the Clubhouse level.

About the Races
Remington Park is a leading horse racing venue that operates daily for simulcast races. Its main dirt track is one mile around, while its inner turf course is roughly 1500 yards. It organizes two seasons of live racing annually. Spectators of the races have a variety of options for viewing. Free seats are available on the track level and Plaza area near the raceway, or viewers can choose cushioned stadium-style seating with an expansive view from the Clubhouse level.
Both American Quarter Horse, Paint, and Appaloosa competitions, as well as Thoroughbred events, take place at Remington Park from March to June and August to December respectively. All ages are invited; still, those under 18 years of age are not allowed to access the casino or place wagers on horse racing.
