Pickleball Courts in Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City has no shortage of great pickleball courts, but these five stand out above the rest. With well-maintained surfaces, excellent facilities, and a strong pickleball community, these courts are the perfect place to play a game or improve your skills. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or new to the sport, you’ll find something to love at these top-rated pickleball courts.
1. Kickingbird Pickleball Center
Kickingbird’s courts have been taken over by pickleball, with twelve indoors in the bubble and twenty outdoors at the facility. The outdoor ones are accessible to the public from dawn to dusk on a first-come, first-serve basis free of charge; however, anyone who is not part of the Greater OKC Pickleball Club must pay $5 to use the indoor courts. Nets are provided while other equipment (paddles and balls) needs to be supplied by the players themselves. Unfortunately, there are no restrooms or court lights available for public use.
The center allows unstructured play from sunrise to sunset. Structured activities are available M-W-F-S from 8 AM to 11 AM, and T-Th-F-S from 6 PM to 9 PM. Should the weather be unsuitable, the indoor courts will remain open.
2. Pickleball Courts at Lower Scissortail Park
The 32-acre lower park has finally been opened, joining the two sides of Interstate 40 via the Skydance Bridge. It provides more open and natural spaces than its existing park areas, as well as space for athletic events and pickup sports – with a particular emphasis on pickleball courts. All in all, there are four courts side by side that have been set aside for pickleball.
The Pickleball court is open to anyone from 7 in the morning to 11 at night.Â
3. Cherokee Hills Park
Warr Acres’ largest park, Cherokee Hills Park, provides a variety of amenities such as play areas, grilling pavilions, and an expansive parking area. Additionally, two Pickleball Courts have been permanently installed; however, players must bring their own gear.
Cherokee Hills Park is closed between the hours of 11 PM and 7 AM.
4. Santa Fe Family Life Center
The Santa Fe Family Life Center (SFFLC) is conveniently located on Broadway Extension in Oklahoma City. It offers a range of sports, health, and wellness programs for members, charitable programs, and sports leagues. Visitors can access the pickleball courts for a fee of $8; club members of Pickleball receive a reduced rate of $5 with no SFFLC membership or monthly discounts.
The center is open from Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 2 PM.
5. Chicken N Pickle
Unique in design, Chicken N Pickle is an indoor/outdoor complex with a casual restaurant and sports bar that includes 10 pickleball courts (6 indoors, two under shelter, two outdoors). It has been described as spacious both inside and out, with large-group-friendly seating options.
Chicken N Pickle’s hours is from 11 AM – 11 PM
These 5 courts are a great place for players of all skill levels to enjoy the fast-paced and fun sport of pickleball. Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn the game or an experienced player looking for a competitive match, you’ll find what you’re looking for at one of these locations.
