Oklahoma City is a great destination for families with children of all ages. From interactive museums and zoos to outdoor adventures and thrilling theme parks, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Here are 23 ways parents can have fun with their kids in Oklahoma City:

1. Oklahoma City Zoo

Visit the Oklahoma City Zoo, which is home to more than 1,900 animals from around the world. The zoo has a wide variety of exhibits, including the Great EscAPE, which features primates, and the Cat Forest/Lion Overlook, which houses big cats. If it’s a hot day out, visit one of the water parks and cool off.  Hurricane Harbor of Oklahoma City is currently closed, but there are smaller ones you can go to such as Wild West Water Works or Pelican Bay Aquatic Center in Edmond.

 

8. Frontier City

Spend the day at the Frontier City theme park, which has roller coasters and other thrilling rides. The theme park has a number of roller coasters, including the Silver Bullet, which is a wooden coaster, and the Steel Lasso, which is a spinning coaster. The theme park also has a number of other rides and attractions, including a water park and live entertainment.

 

9. Martin Park Nature Center

Take a stroll through the Martin Park Nature Center, which has hiking trails and a nature center with interactive exhibits. Play Mini Golf at Bricktown Mini Golf, Lunar Golf of Quail Springs, or Celebration Station.

 

13. Devon Ice Rink

Go on a shopping trip to Penn Square or Quail Springs mall. Between the two, you’ll find a play area, movie theater, pet store, arcade, food court, and a variety of other stores they might enjoy.

 

15. HeyDay Entertainment

Have a HeyDay at HeyDay Entertainment.  Play laser tag, bowling, mini-golf, arcade games, rock climb, and more at this family friendly entertain spot. 

 

16. Museum of Osteology

Take a trip to the Museum of Osteology, which has a collection of more than 300 animal skeletons.  It’ll be an educational experience that’s also a “blast to the past”.  There, you’ll learn about animal anatomy, see lots of unique exhibits, and can even take a behind-the-scenes tour of the museum to see how it’s run and learn more about the collection. 17. Blazers Ice Centre Ice Skating

18. Blue Zoo Aquarium

19. Bowling
